You Bought Your PureONE — What's Next?

Everything a new owner needs for the first day and daily use after that: the two supplies to order, assembly, your personal inhalation percentage, and simple care that keeps the machine running for years.

Step 1: Order Nasal Cannulas

Inhalation sessions use a standard soft nasal cannula — the same type used with oxygen concentrators. Order one per user (they are inexpensive; keep a spare):

Step 2: Buy Distilled Water

The PureONE runs on distilled water only. Any supermarket or pharmacy carries it (usually next to the bottled water) for a dollar or two per gallon — no special supplier needed.

Step 3: Assemble and Fill the Machine

Follow the official interactive manual for assembly, first fill, and first run — it walks through every connection with visuals: pureffect.ca/manual.

Step 4: Find Your Inhalation Percentage

Your inhalation percentage is individual. It is based on lung capacity — height for adults and children 12+, weight for children under 12. This is your number: it does not increase over time (except for growing children), and a higher percentage does not mean greater effectiveness.

Percentages are defined against metric height — if two rows share the same rounded feet-and-inches value, go by your exact metric height. For children who are overweight for their age, ask your machine provider for the correct percentage. This table is the manufacturer's guidance, not medical advice — consult your healthcare provider with any questions.

Step 5: Daily Use and Care

  • Hydrogen water: run the machine for 1 hour at any percentage, or 10 minutes at 100%. Drink the water within the first hour.
  • Accessories (dome, cap, body wrap): run at 100% — no time limit.
  • Filters: change the distilled water in both filter jars every 4–6 months.
  • Refill: when a red light comes on next to the blue one, add 300 ml of distilled water.
  • Overfull: draw the excess water out with the included syringe and hose (shown in the manual).
  • Maintenance: full service once a year, following the interactive manual.
  • Normal behavior: water droplets in the hoses, and a blinking red light at the back of the machine during use.

Common Questions

Why is my PureONE showing a red light?

A red light next to the blue light means the machine needs a refill — add 300 ml of distilled water. If the machine is overfull instead, draw the excess water out with the included syringe and hose as shown in the interactive manual. A blinking red light at the back of the machine during use is normal.

Is water in the hoses normal?

Yes. Seeing water droplets inside the hoses during use is normal and does not mean anything is wrong with the machine.

How often does the PureONE need maintenance?

Change the distilled water in both filter jars every 4 to 6 months, and give the machine a full maintenance service once a year following the interactive manual.

Can I increase my inhalation percentage over time?

No. Your percentage is based on lung capacity — height for adults, weight for children under 12 — and it stays the same (children’s changes as they grow). A higher percentage does not mean greater effectiveness.

Still stuck? The interactive manual covers assembly, refills, and troubleshooting in detail.
